高 gāo tall, high, above average, loud (korean: 고 go)
聲 shēng sound, noise, news, message, declare, state (korean: 성 seong)
高聲 speak out loud clearly, recite aloud
念佛 niàn-fú mindfulness of Buddha (korean: 염불 yeombul)
十 shí ten (korean: 십 sib)
種 zhǒng kind, type (korean: 종 jong)
功 gōng merit (korean: 공 gong)
德 dé virtue (korean: 덕 deok)
功德 Chinese Buddhist technical term equivalent to Sanskrit puṇya (पुण्य), “merit”
一、能排睡眠
能排 = able to push away; 睡眠 = sleep
二、天魔驚怖
能排 = Mara/demons; 能排 = frighten
三、聲遍十方
聲 = sound; 遍 = everywhere; 十方 = ten directions
四、三塗息苦
三塗 = three lower realms; 息苦 = stop suffering
五、外聲不入
外聲 = outside sounds; 不入 = not enter
六、勇猛精進
勇猛 = courageous; 精進 = vīrya (वीर्य), diligence, the fourth Paramita
七、諸佛歡喜
諸佛 = all Buddhas; 歡喜 = joy
八、念心不散
念心 = mindfulness of mind; 不散 = not scattered
九、三昧現前
三昧 = samadhi; 現 = appears; 前 = foremost
十、往生淨土
往生 = rebirth; 淨土 = Pure Land

First, the merit of waking us from sleep.
Second, the merit of surprising and repelling malicious spirits.
Third, the merit of the sound reaching to the ten directions.
Fourth, the merit of resting the suffering of the three lower paths.
Fifth, the merit of keeping out exterior sounds.
Sixth, the merit of keeping the mind which is chanting from scattering.
Seventh, the merit of (helping us) to make ferocious effort.
Eighth, the merit of making all the buddhas happy.
Ninth, the merit of bringing the experience of samādhi directly to us.
Tenth, the merit of bringing about rebirth in the Pure Land.
